OVERVIEW
- Teams will play 4 games each during the 12 Hour Challenge.
- Each team will feature a NY Rangers Alumni.
- Check In: Begins at 6am and stays open based on your time slot.
- First Game starts at 7am.

Important Info & FAQs
Team composition should be:
- Max of 14 Players and 1 Goalie. A Rangers Alumni will be your 15th player.
- We recommend 9 Forward, 5 Defense and 1 Goalie.
- Rangers Alumni will not play goalie. Regardless of position they played in the NHL.
Yes, this event is designed for the experienced hockey player. Players must have a solid foundation of hockey playing experience. This ensures a safe, enjoyable, and exciting environment for all participants. This is not an event for beginner hockey players.
All players must be 21+ to play.
Yes! This is a no exceptions policy.
You will be required to provide your USA Hockey number.
You can register at this link:
- Teams will play 4 games each
- Each game is 2 periods of 23 minute run time with a 3 minute warmup.
- Teams must be dressed and ready at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled game time.
All games are NON-CONTRACT.
- Which means no checking ever!
- No Slapshots.
- Standard penalties apply and will be enforced as penalty shots
- Automatic icing and off-sides rules are in effect
All checking, roughing and unsportsmanlike conduct penalties are an immediate ejection from the 12 Hour Challenge and potentially all future events.
- Full hockey equipment is required.
- Helmets are required at all times while on the playing surface and benches.
- Full face mask and mouth guards are highly recommended.
- Each team will be provided branded event jerseys for their players to wear.
Yes, the rink has a proshop and will have it opened.
However, we recommend coming to the rink with your skates sharpened and all of your equipment needs taken care of prior to game day.
The Rangers are playing San Jose at 10:30PM ET.
The rink will have their restaurant open and the game on. They are inviting players to stay after the event and watch the game. This is not part of the 12 Hour Challenge and at the discretion of the rink.
